Tonight at Canton's Appleton Arena, Clarkson and St Lawrence
meet in the 141st meeting of the Route 11 rivalry.

Clarkson enters the game with a 4-4-2 mark on the season while
St. Lawrence is 6-3.

Clarkson is led by captain Craig Conroy. Junior Marko Tuomainen
has been on fire since the Great Western Freezeout over Thanksgiving.
Freshman Jean-Francois Houle has scored a goal is nearly every
game this season. Defenseman Brian Mueller has made the ECAC
honor roll almost every week.

St Lawrence's leading scorer is forward Spencer Meany. The speedy
Mike Allain and sophomore Burke Murphy pace the Saints offense.

Senior Jason Currie will likely be in nets for Clarkson while
his opposite number will probably be Paul Spagnoletti for SLU.

In order to win, the Saints have to exploit the Knights young
defense and put a lot of shots on the, so far, inconsistent
Currie. Clarkson needs another solid defensive effort and
to bury their chances offensively.

LAST WEEK: the two team's met in Potsdam's Cheel Arena. SLU was up
early but Clarkson scored 4 times in the 3rd period to win 5-3.
It was far and away Clarkson's best all around effort, especially
on defense. However, Clarkson's offense seemed disjointed for the
first two periods, as did SLU's for that matter.

ALL-TIME
Clarkson has dominated the series, 88-46-6 and the Knights have
won the last 5 meetings. Last year's game in Canton was a 6-0
Clarkson victory.

FORESHADOWING
After last year's very slow start, the pair of wins against SLU
served as a springboard for the rest of the season for Clarkson,
eventually resulting in an ECAC Tournament title. One can only
hope that this year provides the same excitement.
