Obviosly I can't speak for the Boston University community, but
I can speak for the University of Maine community.

When Pendergrast scored the game-winner last week, Alfond fell
silent. It was surprising, but not shocking. I actually laughed,
because I knew a loss at home was exactly what Maine needed
heading into the play-offs. While Maine had controlled the game,
we knew BU was as goods as dead the next night (and they were!).

Overall, the reaction here at Maine was of relief. It was treated
as any other loss should be treated.

I believe it's more disheartening for the fans when a team has
an unbeaten streak like that snapped than it is for the players.
