First, does BSU really want to move? Look what happened here. They won a conference and received an automatic bid, played great for two games (I sincerely hope it continues - What a story if they win it all!!), and have a ticket to the big dance. This is an easier route than it would be in a bigger, tougher conference. Second, as pointed out by Hambone, such a move would decimate the fledgling CHA.

Simple inertia would seem to dictate nothing much is going to happen, but lets go left field here. There is precedent of conferences forming/reforming and teams moving around in them. Maybe its time to look at all the players in all the conferences and reformulate them so they make maximal geographic sense. I'm not entirely sure what that would be. I'm going to ponder this and post a scenario for others to laugh at sometime soon.

What happens to the two or three member CHA? Seems the two or three remaining schools would hold onto the auto-bid for dear life. Seems a revised CHA, maybe CHA CHA with DWTS sponsorship, would form the basis for a new league to include both AK teams, UNO, CC, Den along with Notre Dame and North Dakota. Moving MichTech to the CCHA aka MNOH (minnow) league and leaving the WCHA aka MN (Mini) league with an auto-bid. Still some tweaking to be done and yield more inter-conference play during the season. Does seem better than a Big Ten conference, although it seems the Big Ten would have lots of bucks to gain from such a move. Seems the camel's nose is under the tent. Yet, a flick on the nose might just end all this speculation as the camel trots off into a Northern MN sunset. Seems this might have as much life as a camel in MN.
