For which we Michigan faithful have offered prayers of thanks ever
since. :-)

There's another infamous Michigan time-out which had an even more
dramatic effect on the outcome. It's known as "And Then Chris Called
Time-out" . . . with eleven seconds left in the national championship
game after Webber had worked the ball down to North Carolina's end of
the court to set up what would probably have been the winning basket.
He just forgot to count the time-outs we'd already taken, for which Dean
Smith has offered prayers of thanks ever since. Given what we've
learned about Webber since then, I think justice was done.
