Fischer joins USA Hockey

Minnesota Duluth graduate Dave Fischer, assistant athletic director
at Michigan Tech, has been hired by USA Hockey as director of media
and public relations in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Fischer has 18 years of experience in the field. He joined the
Michigan Tech staff in 1987, leaving for a five-year stint as
information director for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference before returning in 1994. Since 1989, Fischer has also
handled the public relations and event management of the NCAA
Division I men's Frozen Four.

Fischer, a 1987 UMD graduate, was a sports information aide with the Bulldogs.
