I did a quick search through the New York Times on the ProQuest
Historical Newspaper Databases.

From the New York Times Dec. 1, 1900:
Manager Markham of the hockey team of the College of the City of New
York is at present arranging games with all the leading colleges. ... Games
are being scheduled with the University of Buffalo and with Union College,
to be played in the rinks at Albany and Troy.

From the New York Times Jan. 19, 1930:
SCHENECTADY, N.Y., Jan. 18. - Union College won its second hockey
match here this afternoon on the new Ryder rink from an aggressive St.
John's of Brooklyn sextet by a score of 3-1.

From the New York Times Feb 18, 1932:
SCHENECTADY, N.Y., Feb. 17. - The Union College-Middlebury hockey
match scheduled for today was canceled because of lack of ice.

From the New York Times Dec. 30, 1936:
RYE, N.Y., Dec. 29. - Cornell University's hockey team closed a two-night
stand tonight by defeating Union College of Schenectady, 4-1, on the
Playland Casino rink before a capacity crowd.

and two game result:
Jan. 10, 1925
RPI 4, Union 0 at Troy

Feb. 22, 1936
Union 4, RPI 1 at Scenectady (sic)
