The top 4 teams from each pool make the medal round, not the top 2.  Since
USA is 3-0 and Germany & Poland are both 0-3, there is no way USA can
finish below either team with two games remaining.
 
However, I think I heard the TNT guys say they had clinched a medal round
spot after the Finland game.  This is not true.  If Germany had upset
Sweden (not likely) which wasn't yet finished, Germany could have still
finished 3-2 and if USA lost to Poland and Sweden, they'd have the same record
and the tiebreaker would be goal differential, not head-to-head.  Likely USA
would have still come out ahead unless they got blown out by Poland and Sweden
and Germany ran up the score in their final two games.
 
The Unified Team beat France, 8-0, this morning and thus qualified for the
medal round in Pool B.  EUN is 3-1-0 and France is 1-3-0.  France will likely
finish fourth in Pool B and also make the medal round.
