Back in 84-85 when the NCAA still played their quarterfinals as a two game
total goals series, Lake Superior played at RPI. RPI won the first game
7-3 and Lake State, having nothing to lose, pulled their goalie several
minutes into the second period. They tied RPI in that second game 3-3
but lost the overall series on total goals.
