Having just returned from Omaha and Armys 2 game trip:
 
a) CCHA picked a winner- this program will go places
 
b) nice to be in an arena with fans who are there to watch a hockey game and
cheer on their team
 
c) there were over 13000 fans at both games (combined) and that is probably
more than Carolina draws at home
 
d) given the local junior team and the USHL franchises- UNO should have a big
leg-up in recruiting and the more local talent they get the better the program
will be
 
e) crowds at the so-called elite eastern schools would do well to match the
UNO crowd [they sent someone from the booster club to welcome the Army parents
and surprise- someone even appreciated that while other hockey college hockey
players were in summer leagues - the Cadets were in summer training]
 
f) their cheerleaders were terrific
 
g) USCO was there - this is the future and it is great for hockey
