> Minnesota will have 5 varsity college programs in 1998 - University of
> Minnesota-Twin Cities, Augsburg, Mankato, Gustavus, and St. Benedict (U of M
> being the only Division I school). In 1999 colleges adding the sport will
> include Bemidji, St. Cloud State University, and University of
> Minnesota-Duluth (St Cloud and U of M Duluth should be Division I).

St. Cloud State is not adding women's hockey until 2000-2001. St. Mary's is
going varsity for 1998-99 as a D-III.
In all likelihood, Minnesota, Mankato St., UMD, Bemidji St., St. Cloud St.,
Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan (if they announce soon) will form an
eight-team Midwest league.
