Boston College, with their win last night, flipped their
pairwise comparison with New Hampshire, and Mass-Lowell's win improves
their record to .500, making them a TUC and in the process reversing
the UNH/Clarkson comparison.(*) The result of all this is that BC is
now in line to get the second Eastern bye:

   Team lPWR RPI Comps Won
 1 Boston Univ 4 .619 BCNHYaCk
 2 Boston Coll 2 .574 NHYa__
 3 New Hampshire 2 .576 __ YaCk
 4 Yale 1 .565 ____ Ck
 5 Clarkson 1 .570 BC____

(*) That effect hadn't occurred to me: a team wants to have as many
TUC as possible in its conference, since they're likely to have a good
record against teams hovering around .500, and more games against those
teams than will their competitors in other conferences...

The races for the second Eastern bye is *wide* open, folks.
The only sure thing is that Yale would get it if they win the ECAC
tournament. UNH, Clarkson and BC have all been in a position to get
the bye in the past six days.

As if the conference playoffs weren't enough fun...
