        Sorry, I thought you were complaining about being able to win
a playoff series by tying the last (or only) game.  If you like, think
of my Thursday night prelim game as a three-point series in which the
high seed starts with two free points (to compensate for the loss of a
home game).
 
        Kind of like my proposal to convert the regionals into a
two-week double-elimination tournament in which everyone but the
conference (tournament) champions starts with one loss.  I think I was
awake when I came up with that one.
