Riding an 8 game unbeaten streak (6-0-2), UNO headed into Oreno(Sp?), Maine
looking for an upset or two. What they got instead on Friday night was a
kick back into reality, as the 1st-year Mavs got their butts handed to them
by a final of 11-0 against the Black bears of Maine. More than anything, our
goaltending which kept us in the tough games finally broke down. From the
radio broadcast, it sounded like the Mavs were unprepared for the speed of
Maine's team, and that led to the intial breakdown, and then the flood gates
opened. Hopefully we can come back tomorrow night and at least make a game
of it.

Jason mitchell, who is usually the one player who keeps UNO in these type of
games, let 5 goals in during the 1st, and his replacement, kendall Sidoruk
let in 5 more int he second and 1 in the third. I think UNO Coach Mike Kemp
hasta start Mitchell again tomorrow, to give him a shot at redemption.

Same 2 teams tomorrow night, hopefully with at least a closer score.

UNO rounds out its inaugral season next Thursday and Friday at home against
Mankato St.
