This mornings Wisconsin State Journal reports that there is reason to
believe that a 16 team format may be in place as early as next season.
 UW Athetic Director is drafting a letter outlining the plan.  The
proposal has been endorsed by fellow athletic directors  and coaches
attending the American College Hockey Association meetings last week.
 
A ruling on the proposed plan would come some time this summer.  More
as I hear it.
