Yale served notice that they are a bonified team when they tied St. Lawrence
at Appleton Arena.

Scoring:
SLU 0 2 0 0 2
Yale 0 2 0 0 2

Shots on Goal:
SLU 44 (3 in OT)
Yale 36 (2 in OT)

Goalies: SLU: Spagnoletti, Yale: Hocker

The game was one of fast skating, checking and strong goal tending.
Both goalies had to make big saves through the third period and OT to
preserve their team's chances.

Yale scored first at 4:01 on the pp when Leroux scored from Duffy and
Allen. SLU tied it up on the pp when Eric Lacroix scored at 5:31 from
LaPerriere ans brother Martin. SLU added the next goal at 7:00 when
Mike Lappin scored from Kapeller and Blackburn. Kaufmann answered back
for the final goal at 12:16 from Sather and Duffy.

So there was an 8 min burst of scoring, and then a long 33 min of nail
biting. Yale showed that they are 6-0-2 for a reason and will challenge
for the championship this year. Coach Marsh of SLU said that they had a
off night, meaning that they were taken off of their game by Yale, not
by themselves.

Clarkson will have their hands full tonight with Yale. Hopefully, for
Clarkson, the long and hard OT game against SLU wore them out.
Princeton did look tired at the end of the 2nd and last half of the 3rd
period last night.
