With contributions from Mike Machnik and others, the list
of BU alumni in head coaching positions is at least eight:
 
Cahoon (Princeton)
Anderson (Merrimack)
Parker (BU)
Powers (Bowling Green)
Meagher (Bowdoin)
Ken Kuzyk (St. Anselm)
Steve Stirling (Babson)
Bill O'Neill (Salem St.)
 
and possibly Paul Cannata (UMass-Boston) -- he's not listed as a varsity
letterwinner in the BU media guide, but Mike thought he was a BU alumnus.
Does anybody know for sure? He would break the tie, as SLU has eight (see
previous post for list).
 
BTW, the college program with two former coaches in the NHL Hall of Fame
is Princeton - Bill Quakenbush (Lady Byng winner for Boston, coached
Princeton from 1967-73) and Frank Fredrickson (star in the formative
years of the NHL, coached Princeton from 1933-35).
