Okay, so the Bears haven't seen a home game since November 18th. And they
won't play before a Meehan Auditorium crowd before January 5-6.....and then
not again until February 2nd. Who's complaining? Who said everything
balances out over the course of the season? Who's putting in for hazardous
duty pay to compensate for the string of foreign rink visits?

No, it's not been a schedule-maker's delight, but give me a break -- how
about UMass-Lowell at Tully Forum tomorrow evening (hey, thank goodness for
small favors...it could have been slated for New Year's Eve); and then, get
this, Merrimack at Volpe Center on NEW YEAR'S DAY at 4:00 p.m. (ouch...Mike
says it's warmer in there during the daytime...methinks we'll bundle up
anyway)!

All right -- still no sympathy? While the rest of the civilized college
hockey world is enjoying holiday tournament competition in spacious venues
before capacity crowds, Bruno will probably draw all of (fill in your own
estimate) people for their game with the River Hawks, and likely not more
than 350 (Mike's estimate based on past Jan. 1 attendance) for the Warrior
matinee in comfy Volpe.

Anyway, the Bears are ready to come out of hibernation following the
exam/holiday break, so watch closely for some improved results as they
begin a run of games against some teams they really match up with very
well. As with many of you, we look forward to the start of Regular Season
- Part II.
