This is YANN (yet another administrative note) to HOCKEY-L.
 
Please be sure to edit your posts so that they only include information
relevant to the point you wish to make.  Remember that other subscribers
have already seen the post you are replying to.  Please don't feel a need
to include entire posts in replies.  It will go a long way towards making
the list a better environment if you take a moment to edit out things that
do not need to be there, including everything if need be.
 
Besides extraneous text, one example is header information.  Another is the
banner message that appears at the bottom of each post and which looks like
this:
 
>HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey;  send information to
>[log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
 
This banner is automatically appended to each post by LISTSERV as a
reminder of what the list's purpose is.  INFO-HOCKEY-L also has one.
However, if you do not edit it out of your reply, it then appears twice in
your post and this is unnecessary.
 
Thanks for your help...and I hope not to have to make these YANNs a regular
recurrence. :-)  I try to limit them to things that are of definite concern
to the general readership and that will benefit everyone.
