The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for April 5, 1995:

Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.

NC$$ champ Boston University was also the top finisher in the final HOCKEY-L
poll, garnering all six first-place votes. Maine and Michigan switched
places this week, with Maine getting all the second-place votes and Michigan
all the thirds. Minnesota rounded out the top four in the poll with all but
one of the fourth-place votes (the remaining vote went to Lake Superior).

For the second time in three years, the HOCKEY-L pre-season #1 wound up
winning the national championship. Maine was the pre-season #1 in 1992-93,
and the Black Bears went on to take the title. Last year, pre-season #1 BU
was the runner-up, with the championship going to pre-season #2 Lake
Superior. Not a bad prognosticating record! A column showing the pre-
season placement of the top 15 teams is included this week. An "o" in that
column indicates that the team was one of the "Others receiving votes" in
the pre-season poll, with the number in parentheses indicating where they
placed overall. For example, Wisconsin was an "other" team, placing 19th in
the voting.

Once again, I'd like to thank all of you who have participated in the
HOCKEY-L poll this year, and also all of you who have been involved with the
poll since its inception four years ago. I've had a lot of fun compiling
this thing during that time.

Special thanks go to Glen Keeney, who will be taking over the HOCKEY-L poll
next year.
