>A partial list of Hockey East awards:

>Rookie of the year: Mark Mowers, UNH

I'm shocked! How is it that Jeff Tory was over-looked for this award?
Not to take any thing from Mark, but IMO Tory has had a Hobey Baker
award like year.

>Player of the year: Chris Imes, UM

I'm a little surprized at this one as well, although I'm delighted for Imes
I really think BU had a couple of players more deserving of this award, not
to mention Lowell's Bullock..

>Coach of the year: Shawn Walsh, UM

Great choice!

>Tomorrow the ten finalist for the Hobey Baker award will be announced.
>Chris Imes should be one of the leading candidates for the Hobey. For

>it's difficult to imagine where Maine would have finished without Imes.

>Chris Imes for the Hobey!

As for the Hobey Baker, it would be great to see Imes get it, however
I'd be floored if this happens. How often has a defenceman been
awarded the Hobey? I've got a feeling big numbers count more with
the voters. Also what is Imes's +/- compared to Tory? I know Tory
scored a lot more, but Imes seemed to be the team leader.
