It happened in the 1989-90 season, the first year the ECAC implemented
the preliminary round games -- but that was a case of three teams fighting
it out for the tenth and final spot... nothing like the mess we have in the
league this year. I don't think I've ever seen a situation where a team could
finish the season tied with any of SEVEN other opponents, which is the case
with Harvard this year. Well, at least it's exciting -- or nerve-wracking,
take your pick.
