According to the Boston Globe, 02/27/95, the 1980 US Olympic Team
skated to a 6-6 tie with the Boston Bruins Old-Timers in a charity
game played Sunday afternoon at Northeastern's Matthews Arena to
commemorate the first reunion of the team since their gold-medal
winning performance in Lake Placid, NY. Attendance was just over
3,000 (capacity 6,000).

The teams played two 25-minute periods. The Old-Timers took a 6-4
lead before the Olympians scored twice in the final minute for the
tie.

The tying goal came on a penalty shot by Mike Eruzione with one second
left in the game. It was Eruzione's second goal of the game. His
first goal was, according to the Globe, a carbon copy of the one he
scored in 1980 against Team USSR.

Also scoring for the Olympians were Ralph Cox, Steve Christoff, Ken
Morrow, and Bob Suter.

Among the players taking part for the Bruins were Brad Park, Ken
Linseman, John Bucyk, Terry O'Reilly, Don Marcotte, former UNH star
Bobby Miller, Ace Bailey, and former Northeastern head coaches Fern
Flaman and Don McKenney, who notched two assists. Bobby Orr was also
on hand.

Jim Craig stopped 27 shots for the Olympians, who outshot the Bruins
39-33. Reggie Lemelin made 25 saves for the Bruins, and Jeff Dumart
stopped 8.

The Globe says that after the game ended, Craig took off his mask and
looked into the crowd...for his wife and daughter. :-)
