Nope, no myth. If a forward, center or defenseman breaks his stick, he
must continue playing without his stick, until time allows him to
retrieve a replacement. Goaltenders, however, are allowed to play with
broken sticks. Of course, it might help that when time permits, the
goalie does go get a complete stick. :>
