This is to clear up a number of confusing issues regarding MTU's hockey
series with North Dakota last weekend.

First, regarding the 4th UND goal on Friday in which the puck disappeared
and later was found in the net. Linesman Joe Romano was sure he saw the puck
go in the net, but at first there was no evidence as the puck was nowhere to
be found. After checking the goaltender's equipment and not finding a puck,
the officials thoroughly searched the net and found the puck lodged in the
back padding behind the middle post (how the puck got there is strange, but
it was there and it was a game puck). As for the puck that was in the
netting BEHIND behind the net...the puck was a practice puck and the MTU
staff did indeed know that during the game.

As for the penalty situation at the end of Saturday's game, although it
should have been a power play goal for North Dakota, the goal was scored
with the team's skating 4-on-4. Therefore, no power play goal.

Hope that does it.
