Colorado College wins for the first time over Northern Michigan at Lakeview
since 1986, 8-2.  CC got on the board first with a goal by Chad Remackel.
Jay McNeill got the second score about two minutes later.  Then, at 14:23,
R.J. Enga scored to increase the lead, followed 56 seconds later with a goal
by David Paxton for 4 unanswered goals.  After this goal, Northern coach
Rick Comley removed Dieter Kochan from the net, replacing him with Keith
Bartholomus (sp?) for the rest of the game.  Northern did get one goal before
the end of the first period, a power play goal, by Mike Harding.  In the
second, Ryan Reynard increased the lead back to 4 on a power play goal, and
Colin Schmidt added a goal.  Bill MacGillivray scored a power play goal with
less than 2 minutes left in the period for Noerthern's other score.  In the
third, Jay McNeill scored his second goal of the game at 14:52, and Chad
Hartnell finished off CC's scoring at 16:36 with a short-handed goal.  The
only thing that seemed to mar this great win for CC was an apparent
scuffle after the game as the Tigers were celebrating.  I'm not really sure
how it happened, maybe someone who was there can tell more.  CC is now 12-0
when scoring first in a game.  Ryan Bach had 33 saves on the night for CC,
and Kochan had 10 and Bartholomus had 26 for Northern.

Same two teams tomorrow night, as CC tries to win a third game at Lakeview
