I don't know if anyone posted this yet, so here it goes.

at 10:46 BU's Kealty was whistled for Interference, for a
Maine PP. Then at 12:10 Maine's Purdie was whistled for

*yes, they did call two penalties in the OT, giving BU's Brennan and Maine's

Attendance: not recorded
*** end official stuff***

Non-Official stats (from my notes)
Power play opps. break down by period:
BU 2/1/1 BU 1 for 5
Maine 2/1/1 Maine 0 for 5

As you can tell by all the stats listed above, this was a very exciting and
well matched game. Both teams had nearly equal shots (BU/27, Maine 28 in
regulation) and five power plays. Miane killed 4 and BU killed 5. note: with
00:46 left, Maine called a time out. After the T/O, the players skated out
and there was some confusion as BU's coach Parker wanted to change some
players. The officials sent the new players back to the bench, so Parker
called his T/O with 00:46 left and made a line change. He put Coleman, Linna,
Joubert and Prendergast out.

On the tying goal, Herlofsky made the initial save, by knocking the puck
away. MacIsaac was able to pick up the rebound and beat Herlofsky to tie it
up with 00:23 left.

On the OT goal, Kelleher made a passing error, leaving the puck right in
front of the net and Shermerhorn picked it up and hammered it home,
uncontested. I was standing on the glass, on Herlofsky's end of the ice, and
had a pretty good view of the whole thing.

BU notes: (sorry, I only know who a few Maine players are) I thought Coleman
played very well. He seems to have stepped his game up a level. He is willing
to sacrafice his body to block a shot and also seems to be quite clever at
seeing and/or making plays develope. Bates played much better in tonight's
game. He was all over the place and Parker used him for many face-offs,
particularily on the penalty kill. O'Sullivan was as impressive as always,
isn't it great he is only a sophmore! His skating and play making skills were
solid.

Kealty saw plenty of ice time and played some decent stay at home D, which BU
needs if Herlofsky is unable to pull it back together. The two goals scored
by Maine at the beginning of the third were weak. On the tying goal, he was
heavily screened and the OT goal was like a penalty shot really. (I think BU
needs JP back).

Grier had some decent hits, but wasn't as much of a standout as he has been
recently. He is still unmovable when camping out around the crease. Pierce
was all over the place, great hustle and Prendergast had his usual collection
of breakaways, too bad he didn't actually score on any. I think Sylvia
(Freshman) may develope into a Joubert type player.

For Maine I thought Shermerhorn showed lots of hustle throughout the game, as
did Frenette and Parmentier.

All in all, a great game. The attendance looked a little smaller than last
night, but the BU section had a leader who had the Go BU, Seive and such
chants going.

The Notre Dame/Princeton final was 6-3, with the Tigers taking the win. Shots
were 32 for the Irish and 21 for Princeton. If Princeton's Konte hadn't have
had played so well, it easily could have been a closer game. Notre Dame
Notes: Junior winger, Brett Bruininks (6'4"/ 220) is am impact player. he can
skate and hit and make plays. Junior Dman, David DalGrande (6'6"/210) played
some solid stay at home D and skates fairly well. Too bad Notre Dame looked
like they were unorganized, making passes to no one in particular. Once
again, ND had the loudest individual fans with a great collection of
on-liners.

Final note: IMHO, it was better to get to see BU play and lose here in CA,
than to not get to see the Terriers play out here at all.
