From the St Paul Pioneer Press this morning:
The Los Angeles Kings, in one of their quieter rounds of negotiations this
summer, signed former Univ. of Minnesota goaltender Robb Stauber but chose
not to announce it. Stauber signed a three-year deal worth about $1.5 million.
In June, Stauber, upset that the Kings had left him unprotected in the
expansion draft, criticized the team. His remarks in the Los Angeles Times
angered management. Coach Barry Melrose said Monday, though, that he had no
problem with any of Stauber's comments.
"I don't want a bunch of robots," he said. "If (the players) talk, it's no
problem. As long as they back it up."

I guess Robb "backed it up"!!! ;-)
