CLARKSON BLANKS ST. LAWRENCE IN NORTH COUNTRY SHOWDOWN
Brown Stops Yale Streak To Move Up In Standings

The ECAC standings were shuffled a bit over the weekend as travel partner
matchups dominated league play.At Potsdam,NY, a capacity crowd of 1800 watched
what will most likely be the final Claskson-SLU game in Walker Arena and the
home team prevailed, 3-0. The Clarkson win created a three-way tie for second
place as two points seperate the top six teams in the league.
Yale's 5-game win streak was snapped at Brown and Vermont split with
Rensselaer, each winning on the road.

ECAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Chris Rogles, Clarkson, SO G. The St. Louis native
recorded his second shutout of the year stopping all 26 SLU shots to
     put the Knights in second.

ECAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Geoff Finch, Brown, FR G. It was a good weekend for
young goalies as the Brown frosh ran his ECAC record to 5-2-1 by stopping
39 of 40 Yale shots in a 3-1 Bruin win over the Elis before 2,536 at
     Providence.
