I didn't think it was anything remarkable, but since this thread has
started and other Wildcat fans haven't joined in on it yet:
 
Northern Michigan has a skating mascot, Willie the Wildcat.  He is
pretty popular.  Does the usual things with the fans and against the
other teams.  Probably the best part is when the other team brings its
mascot, and he/it/she and Willie "fight"--just like pro wrestling, each
mascot gets to "win" half the tussles.
