The lesser Big 8/Big XII schools are notorious for doing such things for
Nebraska football games. Usually they just bump the price way up, but
occasionally they'll make you buy a ticket to another game if you want tickets
to the Nebraska game. I think they do similar things for in-state rivalries
like Iowa/Iowa State and so forth.
It's not price gouging if people are willing to pay. There is no reason the
scalpers should get the money instead of the school.
