That was the Reverend John Galipeau, and it seems to be his speciality.
During the same season, I saw him throw all 10 players in the box for no
apparent reason in a game between RPI and Colgate.
(Then again, during the waning moments of a WHL game a few weeks back, each
team had been reduced through attrition, penal and medical, to 3 defensemen
and 5 forwards. They were very, very tired...)
