Thursday - University of Maine women's ice hockey coach Rick Filighera
announced the receipt of a letter of intent from Raffi Wolfe of Voerde,
Germany. The 5-foot-8 forward player last appeared in Calgary, Alberta in a
Senior Women's AAA league. In 36 games, she posted 27 goals and 27 assists
for 54 points.

The acceptance is conditional upon admission to the University and matters
concerning compliance with NCAA rules.

Statistical trends from Midwestern schools indicate she and other women
athletes at Maine may post a collective GPA which is higher than those of
men athletes by merely a statistically insignificant amount.
