        This is kind of like working out postal abbreviation for all
the states (and provinces) which begin with 'M'.  FWIW, Here's the set
of two-letter abbreviations I came up with for use in my pairwise
comparison tables:
         Merrimack          =>'Mr',
         Maine              =>'Me', 'Mankato State'    =>'Mk',
         'Mass Amherst'     =>'MA', 'Mass Lowell'      =>'ML',
         Miami              =>'Mm', Michigan           =>'Mi',
         'Michigan State'   =>'MS', 'Michigan Tech'    =>'MT',
         Minnesota          =>'Mn', 'Minnesota-Duluth' =>'MD'
