Epilogue: Dan Olsen
The matchups:
Harvard/Brown at Clarkson/SLU:
Clarkson and SLU should both handle Brown easily, and the Bears playoff hopes
will dwindle quietly away. Harvard will play tough both nights as they have
been of late, but will escape the North Country with only 2 points for a
victory over SLU and a 1 goal loss to Clarkson.
Yale/Princeton at UVM/Dartmouth:
This is the last chance for the Cats to show that they aren't indeed going to
choke. Expect them to roll over Yale and tie Princeton. Dartmouth is fighting
to stay at #10 and should also beat Yale, but Princeton's discipline will be
the demise of the Big Green.
Cornell/Colgate at RPI/Union:
Look for Union to split the weekend, securing their lead over floundering
Colgate. RPI should also beat Colgate. The big matchup between RPI and
Cornell is a tough call, but I've got to give the Engineers the edge.
Monday's Standings:
1. Clarkson 30
2. RPI 29
3. Cornell 28
4. Vermont 26
5. Princeton 23
6. Union 22
7. Harvard 20
8. Colgate 18
9. SLU 14
10. Dartmouth 13
11. Yale 10
12. Brown 7
Each team will have two games remaining.
