The best hockey I've ever seen played:

(tie)
1989, Harvard-Minnesota, NCAA Championship
1995, BU-Maine, NCAA Championship

Both BU and Harvard (and Minnesota, too... sorry, Maine) played the most
solid, perfect hockey that I've seen played in the college game. It's
amazing how mature and focused these "kids" get when the National
Championship awaits.

The three most exciting games I've ever seen:

#1 "Triple Overtime"

Northern Michigan's victory over BU in the national championships will
forever reign as one of the biggest lumps in my heart I've ever felt, but
also one of the most exciting nights of my life. Enough has been said about
this game but what I remember the most was Snipe's (Dave Tomlinson)
slapshot in the second OT. I was sitting behind the Northern goal, and my
buddies and I screamed as we saw the puck bounce off the far post, then off
the near post before resting on the line and being covered up.

THEN, we got back to Boston (the second longest drive of my life... the
first being BU's 1994 loss to LSS) watched the game on tape... and saw that
the puck had actually bounced off the far post, then the near post... THEN
the far post again. AAAAAAUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH!

#2 1995 Michigan-Maine NCAA semifinals, 3OT

Unlike a lot of games that go deep into overtime, neither team was pulling
any punches, and judging by the physical play out there they certainly
weren't concerned with the refs blowing any whistles (not that they would
have...). My tickets were smack dab in the middle of the crowd of Michigan
fans, plus the trend of late for us BU fans has been to despise Maine; I
really got into this one, more than I have ANY other hockey game in my
life. I remember feeling absolutely wiped out afterwards, and barely ready
for the BU game. One of the longest games every played (playoffs or
otherwise), but it was exciting every second.

#3 Just about any damn game in the Beanpot!
(except for some consolation games, but they still get pretty exciting)
