I know ti would not be fair to unaffiliated teams,
and it reduces the importance of non-conferenct play
to near zero... but I thought it would be interesting
to give each of the top three teams in each of the four
conferences a NCAA Tournament berth.
 
This would make the selection 100% objective, and only the
seeding would be in any part subjective.  This would
also make the conference consolation games MUCH more
interesting.  This plan is not without its flaws, however.
