Count me as one UML fan who views it as much better than even odds that
Crowder will go to BC. Unless some unforseen candidate emerges, or the
"philosophical differences" turn Crowder away too, then the match seems
like a natural.

Which would bring about an interesting scenario. According to several
sources on the grapevine, Player X was being recruited by BC and UML.
The player decided on BC and verbally committed to them although no
letter of intent was signed. But when Milbury arrived, things changed.
According to the grapevine, since no letters of intent had been signed,
Milbury decided to use that scholarship on some other player. The
player went back to UML and since Crowder still had a scholarship
available, he offered it to the kid and the whole thing was a done deal.
Supposedly set in concrete, but still nothing signed.

Then, higher ups at BC felt that they had verbally committed to the
kid and it would be improper to yank the scholarship, so they said he
could still have it if he wanted it. So the kid told UML to forget it,
reportly leaving Crowder rather upset.

So... if Crowder goes to BC, do you think Player X may feel a little
uncomfortable?

Dave
