*What is happening?*
Starting at 6AM Sunday morning we will be moving the Grouper database to a
new machine running a more recent version of CentOS.
During this time the grouper web interface will not be available and
changes made in Userid Management that affect groups will not be reflected
to LDAP until after maintenance is completed.
*How long will it take?*
We expect this to take about 30 minutes. We are reserving additional time
in case problems arise.
*Why is this work necessary?*
For security and support reasons we need to keep our systems running on
recent well supported operating systems.
What happens if the work is not successful?
If there are major issues during the upgrade or the testing and
verification processes, we will rollback to the current database machine,
resolve the issues, and reschedule the work for a future date.
