One of the local TV stations here in Lansing reported that Jackson was
offered $100,000 a year to coach at UMass.  I heard the report Thursday,
I believe.  Sid told me that the offer most likely consisted of $83K for
coaching and $17K for summer sports camps.  (Or maybe the university was
going to appoint him an "Asst. AD for Promotions" or something like that
to bring his payment package up to $100000.)
 
I guess Jackson must have turned it down....
