I just received the 1995 Draft Preview issue in the mail today.
Besides having the top 52 THN picks it has an A-to-Z draft primer.
It appears that they had to stretch to cover all the letters of the
alphabet, and for -J- they have "Jon Coleman Express". The short
article mentions that Jon Coleman caught scouts off guard when he was
ranked 16th overall in the 1992-1993 Central Scouting Bureau's mid-term
rankings.

Also, THN gives an annual draft update for each team for the top
three prospects for the last three years (92, 93, 94). This year
they added their own rating system for each player.

Ratings:
***** Projected NHL star
 **** Projected above-average player
  *** Projected average player
   ** Projected 4th liner/7th defenseman
    * Projected longshot

For each player I will list the team that holds his rights and the
year drafted (rights may have been traded).

Shawn Bates, BU (Boston, 93, 103rd): Creative pivot needs to fill out
to be more effective ***

Brian Bonin, Minnesota (Pittsburgh, 92, 211th): Led all WCHA scorers,
size makes him a long shot **

Jason Botterill, Michigan (Dallas, 94, 20th): Grinding two-way
winger, skating needs work ***

Mike Buzak, Michigan State (St. Louis, 93, 167th): Team's No. 1
golaie three straight years, size is an asset **

than assists for third straight year **

after being cut from team *
