Subject: Uncl: Cal - 14 game suspension

From: PATRICK BLAKE
Hi all you College Hockey fanatics/lunatics/UMaineiacs

Has anyone asked how/why the NCAA can take away what UMaine accomplished with
their "illegal" player back in 91-92 (or whenever), YET still have UMaine pay
for it currently with Cal Ingraham sitting out 14 games?

It seems to me that if the NCAA caused UMaine to forfeit those games, that the
case oughta be closed at this juncture.

OR - did UMaine forfeit those games on it's own, therefore it (the forfeiture)
isn't viewed by NCAA as a NCAA dished out penalty?

Could someone please explain why UMaine is being penalized twice for the same
infraction?

Just a curious/dislocated UMaine-iac...
