Fred Kipscheer(SCSU) had five goals to lead the St.Cloud State Huskies to
to a 7-4 win over the Michigan Technological University Huskies on Saturday
night. Tech came out flat,not like a team that was fighting for second place
in the WCHA and St.Cloud took advantage with a four goal first period.
After that the teams played even. St.Cloud simply did what a team has to
do to win on the road. Michigan Tech hosts the University of Minnesota
for the annual Winter Carnival hockey series next week end. The two teams
will battle for the MacInnes Cup, which is awarded each year to the winner
of the two-game,total-goal Winter Carnival hockey series.
