What is missing in the previous analysis is attendance. Attendance is #1
to the coffers of the NCAA, and ranked higher by them than integrity,
honesty, or other non monetary benefits.
So move North Dakota closer to home, if not the west then the midwest
(Cincy).
Then for attendance you have to move Vermont or Colgate to Bridgeport (to
play Union), and to avoid first round/same conference issues, that would
give you Vermont. Colgate could have gone to Worcester for Mankato or
Denver, but that must have been too much, or not enough of a fan following
to justify.
