From what I understand the Marble floors logos do not have to come out. The
Historical stuff does not as well and the logos on carpet will be replaced
as they wear out.

From what I understand if The Ralph wants to host NCAA events it will have
to replace the current sioux logos as they wear out. Many of the logos are
inlaid in marble and granite and need replacement sometime in the next
millennium. Items like carpet would probably be the first to be removed.
With the NCAA's move away from on campus venues I don't see the powers at
The Ralph giving a crap. It's unfortunate, since The Ralph in my biased
opinion is one of the nicest hockey facilities in the world and at 12,000
seats is a perfect size for a regional.

For what it is worth the last estimate is that a complete replacement of all
3000 plus logos would cost over $3,000,000, and I personally think that
number is low.

From the UMD beat writer's blog in the Duluth News Tribune:

"...from Brad Elliott Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald: Ralph Engelstad
Arena general manager Jody Hodgson says that if he gets his wish, the arena
will not be changing anything, despite the State Board of Higher Education's
ruling that North Dakota change its nickname and logo. Engelstad Arena is
not part of the settlement with the NCAA and it is privately owned. The NCAA
may not grant Englestad a regional if the logos stay, although Hodgson says
he doesn't really care."
