No, Sean, it wasn't World War 1. I know that the "Rover" existed in the early

days of hockey. In fact, when I started during the ice age, everyone on the
glacier was a "Rover." What I thought was that perhaps it was brought back in

the NHL circa 1942 or and lasted for only a season or so.
