Wayne,

After overcompensating in just a couple days for all the posting I haven't
done for a couple years, I now see an admin issue I merely alluded to a week
ago as a significant question. Why aren't responses automatically addressed
to the list when the respondent presses "Reply"?

On every other email list, that's a standard function. I readily agree that
nobody else would screw up at manually changing the address as regularly as
I, but I also suspect it accounts for many messages not reaching the list as
intended, particularly from casual users. I'll bet many haven't even
realized their messages didn't post, or haven't figured out why, or haven't
wanted to bother with reposting to the list what had already gone to the
author, or merely decided they don't want to hassle with a list that's hard
to work with.

Unidentified sources report that it's having an adverse effect on keeping
the
list alive.
