HUSKIES' BRYAN PEREZ INVITED TO U.S. NATIONAL JUNIOR CAMP
Event To Begin August 3 in Lake Placid, NY

Houghton, Mich. -- Michigan Tech left wing Bryan Perez (Blaine,
Minn.) is one of just 43 players that has been invited to the 2001
USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp, August 3-6, in Lake
Placid, New York.
This year's invited group features 23 National Hockey
League-drafted players, including five first-round selections from
the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, which concluded last Sunday. Perez was
taken by the New York Islanders as the first pick of the ninth round.
Approximately 20 players from the camp will be selected to
join six National Junior Team veterans to play on the Under-20
National Team in the fourth annual Summer Challenge, August 7-11, in
Lake Placid.
"We're excited for Brian and I'm sure he'll be noticed," said
Michigan Tech Head Coach Mike Sertich. "Not only is it exciting for
Brian, but it's also a good reflection on where our program is
headed."
