WHO'S HOT: The line of Marc Suderman, Adam Lee and J.J. Picnic tallied 11
of the Friars 20 points in two wins over Northeastern.  The trio recorded
five goals and six assists in two games, including both game-winners.

PC Goaltenders.. The duo of Boyd Ballard and Nolan Schaefer have posted a
7-2-1 record with a 2.08 goals against average and a .938 save
percentage.  The pair also have posted two shutouts and have recorded a
league high 203 saves.

PICINIC INCREASES PRODUCTION... Junior J.J. Picinic (Fort Lee, N.J.)
registered three goals and two assists as PC swept a weekend series from
10th-ranked Northeastern. On November 17, Picinic's tally was the
game-winning goal in the Friars' 3-1 win over the Huskies.  On November 18,
Picinic notched two goals and two assists in the squad's 4-2 victory at
Matthews Arena. IT marked his first career multiple point game.  On the
season, Picinic has tallied seven goals and two assists in 10
games.  Picinic is also leading the conference in game-winning goals with
three.  Entering the season. Picinic has registered two goals and eight
assists in 40 games.

BALLARD EARNED SECOND WIN... Senior Boyd Ballard (Weyburn, Saskatchewan)
posted a 4-2 win at Northeastern on November 18.  Ballard stopped 39 of 41
shots, including all 18 shots he faced in the first period, for his second
win of the season.  In four games, Ballard has posted a 2-1-1 record, a
2.69 goals against average and an .920 save percentage.

FRIARS SWEEP SERIES VS. NORTHEASTERN...The Friars' record stands at 7-2-1
after a 3-1 win over Northeastern on November 17 at Schneider Arena and a
4-2 victory at Matthews Arena  on November 18.  On November 17, the Friars
captured their fourth consecutive win over Northeastern as junior Peter
Fregoe (Massena, N.Y.) scored two goals to lead the Friars offense.  Senior
J.J. Picinic (Fort Lee, N.J.) netted the game-winner for PC, his
league-leading second in HOCKEY EAST play and third overall.  Sophomre
Nolan Schaefer (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) recorded 28 saves in the
win.  On November 18, Senior Marc Suderman (Regina, Saskatchewan) tallied
two goals in the final 14 seconds to lead the Friars to a 4-2 win at
Northeastern.  Suderman also added two assists on the evening.  Picinic
scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season and added two assists for
the Friars.  Boyd Ballard stopped 39 shots for his second win of the season.

FREGOE NETS TWO...On November 17, junior Peter Fregoe (Massena, N.Y.)
netted two goals in the Friars' 3-1 victory over North eastern.  November
17, was Fregoe's third multiple-point game of the season and the 11th of
his career.  It also marked the third multiple-goal game of his
career.  The two goals were Fregoe's third and fourth tallies all-time
versus Northeastern.  In 44 career games for PC, Fregoe has notched 18
goals and 19 assists.

SUDERMAN RECORDS FIVE POINT WEEKEND... Junior Marc Suderman (Regina,
Saskatchewan) tallied two goals and three assists in PC's two wins over
Northeastern.  On November 17, Suderman assisted on the game-winning goal
in the squad's 3-1 victory over Northeastern.  On November 18, he tallied
two goals in the final 14 seconds of play to lift the Friars to a 4-2 win
at Northeastern's Matthews Arena.   Suderman also assisted on both of the
Friars' first period goals.  It was Suderman's first goal since he tallied
the game-winner in PC's 2-1 opening night win over Notre Dame on October
15, 1999 at the Ice Breaker Tournament in Denver, Colo.  Since his goal in
last year's seoson opener, it took Suderman 30 games and 398 days to tally
his fourth and fifth goals of his career.

TOUGH AT HOME...In PC's last 13 games at Schneider Arena the Friars have
posted a 10-1-2 record, dating back to February 4, 2000.  The squad's only
loss was a 3-2 defeat to Maine on March 4, 2000.  This season, the Friars
are 6-0-1 at Schneider Arena.  PC's all-time record at Schneider is
262-160-29 (.613).

FRIAR MILESTONE...PC's 8-0 win over Union on October 29, 2000 was the 700th
victory in the history of Friar Hockey.  PC's all-time record now stands at
704-647-68.  The Friars first win ever was 6-4 victory over Springfield on
January 6, 1927.  The victory over Springfield was also the first game in
the history of PC hockey.

FRIARS VS. RANKED OPPONENTS...This season the Friars have recorded a 5-1-1
mark against ranked teams.  PC has defeated Lake Superior (5-1), Maine
(5-3), UNH (3-1), Northeastern (3-1, 4-2) and tied Boston University (4-4).

Next FOR the FRIARS... The Friars will play at Colorado College on Friday,
November 24 at 9:00 p.m.(EST).  On Saturday, November 25, Providence will
take on the Denver Pioneers at Denver's Magness Arena at 9:00 p.m.(EST).

THE PROVIDENCE-DENVER SERIES... Saturday's game will be the 13th meeting
all-time between the two schools.  The Friars hold a 7-5 advantage in the
all-time series.  In the first meeting ever for the two schools, the
Pioneers defeated the Friars, 6-4, at Schneider Arena.  The Friars' last
win against Denver was a 7-3 victory on November 27, 1999 at Schneider
Arena.  The last time PC lost to Denver, the Pioneers earned a 3-2 double
overtime win at Magness Arena on October 16, 1999.

ALL-TIME AT MAGNESS ARENA...  The Friars have posted a 1-1 record all-time
at Magness Arena.  On October 15, 1999, the Friars opened the  Ice Breaker
Tournament with a 2-1 win against Notre Dame.  The following night, the
Friars were defeated by Denver, 3-2, in double overtime of
the  Championship Game of the Ice Breaker Tournament.

LAST SEASON VS. DENVER... On October 16, 1999 the Friars were defeated by
Denver, 3-2, in double overtime of the Championship Game of the Ice Breaker
Tournament.  Doug Sheppard and Jon DiSalvatore each scored one goal for the
Friars.  Boyd Ballard made 33 stops in 84 minutes and 25 seconds of
action.  On November 27, 1999, the Friars earned a 7-3 victory over the
Pioneers at Schneider Arena. Fernando Pisani  led PC's offense with two
goals, while Devin Rask, Peter Fregoe, Sheppard, Matt Libby and Doug Wright
scored one goal each for the Friars.  Ballard stopped 27 shots for PC.

THE PROVIDENCE-COLORADO SERIES...Friday's game will be the 10th game
all-time between the two schools.  PC has posted a 4-5 mark in the all-time
series against Colorado College.  The Tigers won the first meeting ever
between the two teams, 8-5, at Brown's Meehan Auditorium on January 3,
1964.  PC's last win against Colorado College was a 5-4 victory on November
26, 1999 at Schneider Arena. PC's last loss versus the Tigers was, 7-3,
defeat at the Broadmoor World Arena on January 16, 1988.

LAST SEASON VS. COLORADO COLLEGE...  Drew Omicioli led the Friar offense
with two goals in a 5-4 win over seventh-ranked Colorado College on
November 26, 1999. The Friars used strong special teams play in the win,
notching two short-handed tallies and one power-play goal.  PC's other
goals were scored by Fernando Pisani, Jon DiSalvatore and Mike
Lucci.  Nolan Schaefer made 36 stops in his third win of the season.

ALL-TIME AT WORLD ARENA... This marks the Friars' game first ever at the
Colorado Springs World Arena.
