At Union, student season tickets are deeply discounted (perhaps $25
for the season, a couple dollars per game) and students can pick up a
single-game ticket for free with their ID a few days before the game.
Faculty and staff get two free tickets through the same procedure.
It's pretty much the same procedure that was in place when I was a
student during the Division III days.
