CONTEST #2 - pick the winners and the goal differential
contest .

If you wish to enter all 3 contests, use the rules for
contest 3.

If you wish to enter contest 1 only, use the rules for
contest 1.

Use these directions if you wish to enter contests
1 and 2 only.

Information required:

1)name, address(city,state), e-mail address,
team affiliation (optional), league affiliation (optional).

2)for each game, choose the winning team and the goal
differential (i.e. the number of goals scored by the winning
team minus the number of goals scored by the losing team).
This number should be entered as a number preceded by a
   plus (+) sign (e.g. +2) .

3) for the total tournament, predict how many games go
into OT and the total goals scored in the tournament.

Contest scoring:

1) For each first round game (games 1-4 where all
participants are known in advance), 4 points will be
awarded for picking the winning team.
Additional points will be awarded to those who pick the
    winning team as follows:
  a) predict the goal differential exactly and 3 additional
       points will be awarded
  b) if your predicted goal differential differs from the
actual by one, 2 additional points are awarded
  c) if your predicted goal differential differs from the
actual by two, 1 additional point is awarded

Goal differential points are only awarded if the winner
of the game is correctly chosen. If you do not correctly
predict the winner, zero points are awarded regardless
of the differential.

2) For each second round game (games 5-8 where only one
of the participants are known in advance), 6 points will
be awarded for picking the winning team. Additional
points will be awarded to those who pick the winning
    team as follows:
  a) predict the goal differential exactly and 3 additional
      points will be awarded
  b) if your predicted goal differential differs from the
actual by one, 2 additional points are awarded
  c) if your predicted goal differential differs from the
actual by two, 1 additional point is awarded

Goal differential points are only awarded if the winner
of the game is correctly chosen. If you do not correctly
predict the winner, zero points are awarded regardless
of the differential.

3) For each game of the Phrozen Phour (games 9-11 where
none of the participants are known in advance), 8 points
will be awarded for picking the winning team. Additional
points will be awarded to those who pick the winning team
    as follows:
  a) predict the goal differential exactly and 3 additional
      points will be awarded
  b) if your predicted goal differential differs from the
actual by one, 2 additional points are awarded
  c) if your predicted goal differential differs from the
actual by two, 1 additional point is awarded

Goal differential points are only awarded if the winner of the
game is correctly chosen. If you do not correctly predict the
winner, zero points are awarded regardless of the
differential.

4) If, at the end of the tournament, the preceding does not
determine a winner, the first tiebreaker will be the total
number of games that go into OT. If the number of OT
games does not determine a winner, the second
tiebreaker used will be the total number of goals scored
in the tournament. You must specify the total number of
goals scored in the appropriate line in the tiebreaker
section of the entry form. If that line is left blank, I
will use zero for the total goals scored.

If no winner is determined after tiebreakers, co-winners
will be declared.
